myPOS Account Opening

To open an account with myPOS

  1. Use the following link: Open acount.
  2. Fill in the requested fields (Email, Password, and Mobile Number) and accept the myPOS "Privacy Policy".
  3. Go through the process of verifying your identity - as a partner or manager (scan the front and back of your ID card and take a photo of your face for biometric data verification).
  4. Submit the requested documents.

Documents usually requested for limited companies (unipersonal, LDA, or anonymous)

  • Permanent Certificate of the company (or valid access code).
  • Copy of the ID card (in color - front and back - without cuts) of the Manager.
  • Copy of the ID card (in color - front and back - without cuts) of the Partners holding 25% or more of the company.
  • Proof of address of the Beneficial Owners (water, electricity, gas, telecommunications bill, etc. - issued within the last 3 months).
  • Proof of Nationality of the Beneficial Owners.

Documents usually requested for Sole Proprietors (ENI)

  • Declaration of Start (or Restart) of Activity.
  • Copy of the ID card (in color - front and back - without cuts).
  • Proof of address of the Beneficial Owners (water, electricity, gas bill, etc. - issued within the last 3 months).
  • Proof of Nationality *.
* For Proof of Nationality, as an alternative to the Birth Certificate usually requested by myPOS, the following are accepted:
  • A copy/photo (in color - front and back - without cuts) of the driver's license. The driver's license is accepted as it is an "official document" and because, on its front, in point 3, the place and date of birth of the person in question are presented.
  • General Identification Data from the AT/Finanças website.
    1. On the website Site of AT/Finanças after authentication, place in "Indicate what you want to do" (Magnifying glass) > Integrated Position > Integrated Fiscal Situation (Cadastral Information) > General Identification Data. In point 2, your "Nationality" is described.
    2. Opt to print in PDF in the browser itself.
    3. Confirm the existence of a header indicating date/time and a footer indicating the address of the AT/Finanças website.
